The nonprofit MAPS Media Institute, was honored at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Northwest ceremony in Seattle. They received an Emmy and won the prestigious Governors' Award, recognizing their significant contributions to the arts.
MAPS was also acknowledged as a "Trailblazer in Diversity" for Montana.
The organization's educational outreach program, MAPS Media Lab, brings professional instruction and industry-level equipment to rural and tribal communities statewide.
Since its establishment in the Bitterroot Valley 2004, MAPS Media Institute has grown to provide year-round programming in Hamilton and Helena, engaging young individuals across Montana in media production, graphic design, photojournalism, and podcasting.
