Missoula voters approved a fire levy by a 63% margin, allowing the city to hire 20 firefighters, buy new equipment, and build a new station. The $7 million annual levy also funds the Mobile Support Team for mental health crisis calls. Voter turnout was 39%. Mayor Andrea Davis and Fire Chief Gordy Hughes expressed gratitude and highlighted the levy’s importance in addressing increased call volumes and improving response times amid the city’s growth.
