A group planning to open a non-profit 24-hour Hospice care facility in Missoula says they have raised $12.5 million dollars of the nearly $15.5 million dollars needed to build the 12 bed facility.
The Partners Hope Foundation is launching a campaign to raise the final 3 million they need during the annual Missoula Gives campaign.
The hospice, when it opens, will have 12 private rooms and about 11 new jobs will be created and will serve all of western Montana. While previous plans for a residential hospice in Missoula did not materialize, the group behind the Embrace Campaign says this hospice will happen, thanks to the experienced supporters who have helped draft the detailed plans for the operation of the hospice.
