Montana Grizzlies quarterback Clifton McDowell, who guided the team to the FCS national championship game in Frisco, Texas, has announced via social media that he will be concluding his college football career elsewhere.
McDowell, a fifth-year senior who transferred to Montana from Central Arkansas last summer, fully assumed the starting role midseason, and led the Grizzlies to the Big Sky Conference championship and a shot at the national championship.
This move will mark the fifth stop in McDowell's diverse college football journey, having previously played at FBS Lafayette, Kilgore College in Texas, FCS Central Arkansas, and finally, Montana.
